VALENCIENNES, France, June 23, 2026 – PPG (NYSE:PPG) today announced the completion of a COLORFUL
COMMUNITIES® project in Valenciennes, France that helped revitalize the infant care center of the Maison de
l’Enfance et de la Famille du Valenciennois (MEF). The project brought together more than 60 volunteers from
PPG’s nearby Marly site and local partners, who spent two days beautifying the facility with fresh paint and
murals designed by artist Camille Fosse.
Volunteers from PPG’s site in Marly, France recently completed a COLORFUL COMMUNITIES®
project that helped revitalize an infant care center in nearby Valenciennes.
To support this project, PPG has provided financial and material support totaling €74,000, including 200 liters
of SEIGNEURIE® paints by PPG: Seigneurie Pantex Low-Carbon Velvet interior finish and
Seigneurie Primwood paint in soft shades from the CHROMATIC® color palette. The artist designed a
corridor mural that invites children on an imaginary walk through a softly colored forest, echoed by a series of
portraits of forest animals.
“These improvements will have a concrete impact on the well-being of the children in care, as well as on the
families and professionals who support them every day,” said Claire Cherquefosse, director of the MEF.
“By providing a more soothing, colorful and functional environment, the project helps create a safe setting
that fosters children’s growth, development and recovery.”
The MEF supports families as part of the region’s child protection services and can accommodate up to 200
children. PPG has supported the organization for more than six years. Through Colorful Communities projects
and its Charity Partner program, it has donated around €300,000 to the association, including projects to
renovate the MEF care homes of Artres and Condé-sur-l’Escaut.
The Colorful Communities program provides PPG volunteers and products along with financial contributions to
bring color and vitality to communities where the company operates around the world such as in Marly, where PPG has
a research and development (R&D) Center of Excellence.
“This is the third Colorful Communities project we've held to benefit children's homes in
Valenciennes,” said Karine Tomala, PPG operational site manager, Marly. “Each time, our employees give
their all to brighten the world of these children who lack the most important thing: a family. It’s always a
great joy for me to feel PPG people's motivation, the positive atmosphere and to hear the laughter. It allows us to
discover our colleagues in a new light; we build something together, memories and a sense of camaraderie emerge
– all relationships that facilitate communication and mutual support in the workplace.”
The Colorful Communities program, PPG’s signature initiative for supporting communities, aims
to protect and beautify
the neighborhoods where PPG operates around the world. Through the program, PPG’s committed volunteers contribute
their time and PPG paint products to help transform community assets – from painting classrooms to bringing color to
